No Need To Leave a tip: Service Charge On All Services

As of 8-1-22, we are instituting a 20% service charge on all services and that 20% will go directly to our employees. (None of this will go to our owner or salaried employees).

Through a pandemic, inflation, sicknesses, and now a -supposed- recession, our amazing staff have shown up every day to provide top-notch services to our clients. Their hard work is essential to Soma’s success and we believe they deserve not just a living wage, but a thriving wage.

We could just raise our prices by 20% and get rid of tips but we want to be transparent about the fact that this extra money is for our crew and not just extra profit.

Instead of explaining the myriad issues with American tipping culture, we’re just going to suggest you google “what’s wrong with tipping” as there are several excellent resources there on the this topic.

Some imporant things to note: 

• this is for services only, not products.

• Insurance will not cover this charge and is the responsibility of the client.
